Kaikoura Pohutukawa flowers

The Pohutukawa -
with masses of brilliant crimson to deep red flowers at Christmas time, is known as the New Zealand Christmas tree.

Today I'm feeling a little 'festive' so have added these blooms to this blog.

This Pohutukawa pic is from a tree at the beach in Kaikoura.

Hi

Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

I had to look Ohaupo up on Google, so now that I know where it is, I'm sure it will thrive.

Even the red carpet it leaves when it sheds its spindels is impressive
